This flyer deals with the upcoming Sunday law in the United States of America and what consequences it will have on the rest of the world.
Sunday rest in our culture and through history
The weekend is seen by many people as a welcomed period of rest, social activities and a break from the toilsome work week. However, the two days of the weekend, Saturday and Sunday, are by no means equal. Whereas Saturday is a day of busy activity, Sunday is generally seen as a day of rest and recovery before the start of the next work week. This is also reflected by traditions and laws that are supporting the difference between these two days. Many shops are closed on Sunday, most non-essential workers are not working and certain activities may not be carried out by law. This state of things is commonly accepted by us and seen as part of our culture, as a means for workers protection, the protection of the family and as a fundamental right.
Also, the idea of a general national Sunday law that prohibits work and is demanding worship on this day, enforced by the state through fines and punishments, is not new and versions of it are already more or less stringently applied throughout the world and history. In the western world, notable Sunday law events can be found in history:
In 321 AD Emperor Constantine issued the first National Sunday Law declaring Sunday—referred to as the "venerable day of the sun" (venerabili die solis)—as a day of rest for all citizens of the Roman Empire. Thereby combining pagan sun worship with Christianity.
By the 12th century, statutes of Charlemagne, councils in Paris, and laws in England, Bavaria, and Norway reinforced Sunday as a day of rest and worship. The pope actively intervened to ensure compliance, and by the time of the Reformation, Sunday had become a human ordinance enforced by both church and state.
In 1888, a significant attempt was made to implement a national Sunday law in the United States through Senate Bill No. 2983, introduced by Senator Henry W. Blair of New Hampshire on May 21, 1888. The bill, known as the Blair Sunday-Rest Bill, aimed to establish the first day of the week (Sunday) as a mandatory day of rest and religious worship across the nation.
How will such a Sunday law look like and how will it be enforced?
The national Sunday law that will first be implemented in the United States of America will most likely follow a similar sequence of events: A proposed National Sunday rest law will be advertised for its many benefits, catering to all different world views. The day of rest will be labelled to be a day for the family, a day for the planet to fight the climate crisis and a day for spiritual life.
Having a broad umbrella, the national Sunday law will be implemented with a maximum of liberty to gather all different lifestyles and beliefs under a common goal. There will be very little opposition to its implementation, since Sunday is already seen as the day of rest, as described above. However, this liberal presentation of the Sunday Rest Law will soon change and emphasis will be put on the interdiction to work on Sundays while at the same time pushing towards a more spiritual application - towards a day of worship. In line with this, in the beginning, the keeping of this day of rest will be enforced by warnings, fines and short detainments. However, the punishments for offences, especially for repeat offenders, will quicly escalade to economic sanctions where offenders will be blocked to buy and sell. This could be made possible through the implementation of exclusively digital currencies. The digital Euro is planned to be implemented between mid 2027 and 2029, pushed by the European Central Bank and the USA is currently focussing on private Stablecoins. These digital currencies, together with e-wallets linked to personal accounts that encompass every detail of a person’s life, including criminal records can enable the control of the individual. An example of this can already be seen in China where the social credit system is enabling or prohibiting persons to buy and sell, participate in certain social activities and travel to certain areas. For those, that are still not coerced into following the Sunday Law by these more severe punishments, penalties will only further increase.
The implementation of a National Sunday Law in the USA – why is it of importance to us?
This Sunday Law which will first be implemented in the USA, will be applied throughout the world. Like for so many other cultural and technological developments, the USA will be the forerunner. Once implemented, the USA will use its political and economic power to convince foreign governments to implement national Sunday laws. It is therefore expected that all of the above-described demands for a workless Sunday as a day of worship will also be enforced in Europe and throughout the world. We can currently see how the USA is pushing their narrative and world view on foreign governments, without respecting sovereignty and using their economic and military power to do so. These tools have already been applied in Cuba, Venezuela, Iran and Trump is threatening tariffs to any country that does not want to align with his demands. Specific threats have also been made towards Canada and Greenland for annexation.
We can therefore expect that, once the Sunday law will be implemented in the USA, it will only be a matter of time until it will be put in place in Europe and other countries of the world as well.
What is the problem with a National Sunday Law?
At a first glance, a uniform day of rest does not seem to be a bad idea. Good for the family, good for mental health, good for the planet. Everyone can pick why they can algin themselves with this concept. However, when these official objectives of the Sunday law will give way to the underlying agenda, a uniform day of worship, then fundamental rights like the liberty of conscience and religious freedom will be under attack. Once worship will become an important part of the uniform day of rest, and will be enforced by secular laws, then we will witness a unification of church and state. The state will enforce religious rules and laws and punish those that will not obey. We have an idea of the consequences of such a unification of church and state, when we look at past enforced Sunday laws during the time of Constantine and the dark ages where the Roman Catholic Church ruled according to her will, having power over secular governments. The result was persecution, banishments, torture and death through the most inhumane methods. The opinion of many is that humanity has come too far to be able to slide back towards these barbaric and cruel ways, but we only have to look at what the Christian nationalists, a powerful movement in the USA, that was also involved in the creation of the Project 2025, are currently discussing. Death penalties for repeat offenders of a potential Sunday rest law are frequently mentioned and approved during public discussions. We can therefore expect that the initial liberal Sunday Law will transform into a prescriptive day of worship that will attack the liberty of conscience, religious freedom and will mark a time where church and state will unite.
The bigger picture
Why is there a push for a Sunday Law and why does it have to be Sunday and not Saturday, or any other day of the week for that matter?
As so often, we have to look between the lines in order to identify whose interests are actually represented by such a Sunday Law. Analysing the situation, there are three obvious parties involved, the citizens, the state and the church.
The citizens: As discussed above, the upcoming Sunday Law will infringe on the liberty of conscience, religious freedom and personal freedom through the implementation of a uniform day of worship.
There is therefore no general interest for the citizens, except for a radical minority, to enforce such a law that will impose upon them rules and regulations that directly affect their personal freedom.
The state: What advantages or interests would a state have to force their citizens to rest and worship on a specific day? In fact, such a law would violate multiple human rights which the state is obliged to uphold and enforce. Such a Sunday Law will therefore be contrary to the fundamental values of our western civilised world. A state that is forcing the conscious of its citizens is considered an authoritarian or totalitarian regime which is a concept of government that is condemned by the western world. A National Sunday law would therefore go against the very principles of our western governments and against the human rights that they are to uphold.
The church: Looking back to the middle ages, also termed the dark ages, the church had absolute power in Europe. The pope was crowning and dethroning kings and in turn the kings and their kingdoms swore allegiance to the pope. As a result, the pope had not only the spiritual governance, but also ruled the European secular world through the military strength of the different kingdoms. The pope used this power to enforce religious laws, punish heretics and launch military campaigns, like the crusades. However, the power of the pope over secular governments and kingdoms was taken away in 1798, when General Louis-Alexandre Berthier under Napoléon Bonaparte, made his entrance into the Vatican, took the pope prisoner and exiled him, effectively dethroning and abolishing papal supremacy.
What would the church gain from a National Sunday law? The church would once again be in a position to enforce religious laws through the power of secular governments. It would once again, gain not only spiritual, but also political and police/military power. Through a Sunday Law, the secular governments would openly approve and enforce church law and thereby re-creating a unification of church and state, eroding the barrier that has been maintained between church and state since 1798.
How does this fit, seeing that the USA is a protestant country? Why would these two systems that are seemingly on opposing sides of so many issues form a unity? The answer lies in the protestant churches and their relation to the papacy. What we see today, without realising is that most protestant churches, even though separated by name, have widely accepted the doctrines and teachings of the roman catholic church. The most notable one is the day of worship on Sunday.
It is therefore likely, that there will not be a direct unification of the USA with the papacy, but there will be a unification of church and state with the protestant churches which are, in their believes and convictions, mirroring those of the papacy. The papacy will therefore implement laws and regain power indirectly through the use of the protestant churches and the government of the United States of America.
If the papacy is behind the push for a Sunday law, is there a spiritual reason, or is it simply about secular power?
The current events, as they are unfolding and the push for a National Uniform Day of Rest (Sunday Law), as well as the aim of the papacy to reinstate its lost power is no surprise to those that have studied the Bible. Here, multiple prophecies are clearly describing the events that are currently unfolding, as well as the future that will result from it.
Indeed, the current events are not only guided by a desire for power but also have a spiritual agenda. Prophecies in the books of Daniel and Revelation are both foretelling the rise, rule and temporary dethronement of the papacy, as well as its plans for a National Sunday Law, enforced by the secular power of the USA.
The two world governing powers of our time prophesied in the Bible
The Bible is putting great emphasis on the presence and actions of two beasts that are actively working together (Revelation 13) during the time of the end. The first of these beasts arose out of the sea describing Papal Rome. The second beast rose out from the earth describing The United States of America. The Bible therefore draws our attention to these two entities and their workings. Notably, the Bible mentions that these two beasts will unite and that the second beast (USA) will yield all of its power (political and militarily) to the first beast (Papacy) through a unification of church and state. This unification, as mentioned above might not be directly with the papacy, but through the protestant churches in America that the papacy uses to her end.
The implementation of secular law based on false roman catholic doctrine
The Bible is warning, that a mark of a beast will be implemented as a result of the unification of church and state (papacy with the USA).
This mark will be enforced through national laws, punishable by economic sanctions, leading up to a death decree (Revelation 13:17).
What is this mark of the beast?
God has given His creation a sign/mark of His authority which is the 4th Commandment which is describing the Sabbath (day of rest) on Saturday (Exodus 31:17). In contrast, the roman catholic church also talked about her sign/mark of authority by changing the Sabbath worship from Saturday to Sunday. (“Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [Saturday Sabbath to Sunday] was her act... And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things” (H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons)). Since the roman catholic church is identified as the first beast and this beast has a self-proclaimed sign/mark of her authority, which is in contradiction to the sign/mark of authority of God, the mark of the beast has been identified as the false Sabbath on Sunday. The mark of authority of the papacy has already been accepted by most protestant churches. Thus, through the unification of church and state, these protestant churches will propagate and enforce the mark of the beast.
When the enforced Sabbath on Sunday (National Sunday Law), contrary to the law of God will be put in place, then, the Bible says, the wound that was inflicted to the papacy in 1798, where it lost its secular power, will be healed and it will once again start to implement prescriptive laws, based on religious doctrines, enforced by secular powers.
